A 29-year-old Genoa city man is facing charges after a police chase. Janesville police say a patrol officer attempted to pull-over the suspect for reckless driving on Racine Street a little before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, but he took-off. Police say the chase was discontinued for safety reasons, but the suspect ended-up crashing his vehicle anyway near the intersection of Milwaukee Street and Harmony Drive. Charges may include First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Hit and Run Causing Injuring, and Fleeing. Officers admit being confused as to why the suspect fled. They say he hadn’t been drinking, had a valid driver’s license, and wasn’t wanted on any outstanding warrants.
