A $184,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services will help the clients at a local non-profit get around town a little easier.
KANDU Industries Executive Director Kathy Hansen says in total, DHS provided $30 million over two rounds of funding with the goal to enhance, expand, and strengthen home and community-based services.
KANDU plans to use the money to purchase two new busses to help clients get to and from work and other activities.
This grant is part of a statewide effort intended to improve Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) that help older adults and people who have disabilities.
