Kansas man arrested in Janesville for OWI, stolen gun

It’s a Wile E. Coyote moment that ended in a felony arrest, Janesville police say.
A Kansas resident is in jail in Rock County after his car smashed into a boulder in landscaping at a local sports bar Thursday night and then tried ditching a stolen gun in a nearby filed.
Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to Sideline Sports Pub and Grill on South Wuthering Hills Drive just before 10:30 Thursday night.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver crash into a boulder in the parking lot and then run into a field with a backpack, before returning empty handed.
A police dog searched the area and found the backpack, which police say had a stolen gun inside.
Giovanny Zendejas-Castellanos, the driver, was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, first offense, being a felon in possession of a firearm, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, and resisting an officer.
