The Janesville Police Department has released its 2022 Annual Report, recapping how the department performed last year.
Chief David Moore says police activity was down, but that number is directly related to the amount of officers in the field and with vacancies and people in training officers were scrambling from call to call.
Moore says resident feedback on officers is crucial in training, and the department fielded 17 citizen complaints during 2022.
Moore says of those 17, ten were unfounded, but 5 were sustained and they took corrective action with the officers.
The full reports is available to view at the department’s page on the city’s website.
