The Janesville Community Daycare Center is getting a lift from the United Way Blackhawk region.
Center Executive Director Theresa Marshall says the $83,000 they’ve been awarded will go towards scholarships which will allow families who sometimes slip through cracks to give their kids quality child care.
Marshall says she looks at a families whole financial picture when they apply for childcare, and lots of families are trying to play catchup on bills so being able to give out scholarships is a major help to local families.
Marshall says the center has been receiving funding from United Way Blackhawk Region for the last 53 years.
