Stateline Boys and Girls Club on receiving end of $260,000 grant award

A $260,000 impact grant being awarded to the Stateline Boys and Girls club will make their programming accessible to even more area youth.
CEO Mark Rand says the United Way Blackhawk Region gifted them the funding, and roughly half of the $260,000 is being earmarked for scholarships or financial assistance for young people and their families who may not be able to afford club programming.
Rand says the more kids which are able to attend their programming, the better it is for not just them and their families but the community as a whole.
The Stateline Boys and Girls Club currently provides youth development programming to over 3,000 area youth.
