Rock County Sheriff’s Office investigates dead body found in abandoned home

The Rock county sheriff’s office says it’s trying to identify a person found dead in an abandoned house in the the Town of Turtle.
The sheriff’s office says that it checked out a call from a 911 tip line that a person was dead in an abandoned residence.
The death was reported Sunday morning.
A Madison television news station reports the sheriff’s office had police tape up around a property in the 8300 block of South Creek Road this morning, but the sheriff’s office hasn’t released further details about the location or the circumstances of the death.
The sheriff’s office says it’s coordinating a death investigation with the Dane County Medical Examiners Office as authorities try to learn who the person is.
It’s not clear how when the person died or what the cause might have been. The sheriff’s office says there appears to be no danger to the public.
