After distributing more than 150 backpacks filled with supplies last year, Project 16:49’s annual back to school drive is looking to help even more homeless youth this year.
Executive Director Tammy DeGarmo says they’re looking for you typical back to school items, but also personal hygiene items, easy to prepare foods and snacks, and gift cards to local grocers, retailers, gas stations, or fast food restaurants.
DeGarmo says they have multiple drop off locations through the county including the Hedberg Library, the Beloit Public Library, Bushel and Peck’s in Beloit, the Stateline YMCA, and the Milton Public Library.
DeGarmo say they’ll also have drop off bins at their locations in Beloit and Janesville.
