The Rock County Board of Supervisors is seeking persons interested in filling the District 8 vacancy.
District 8, which includes the Town of Janesville Wards one through three, nine, and ten; Town of Rock Wards one though five and seven; and Town of Beloit Wards one and 13, was formerly represented by Rick Richard.
State Statutes provide that the County Board Chair, with the confirmation of the County Board, is to appoint a person who is a qualified elector and resident of the Supervisory District to fill the vacancy.
The person appointed will serve the unexpired term until the April 2024 election.
The deadline to submit applications is August 30th.
