The YWCA Rock County kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October with one if their biggest events at the end September.
Event Co-Director Julia Jorgenson says Walk a Mile in Her Shoes will take place Wednesday, September 27th at the Janesville Town Square.
The event encourages men to wear high heels while participating in a one mile walk.
The event also includes food trucks, vendors, and speakers.
