The City of Beloit establishes an adopt-a-road, or park, or trail program.
Public Works Director Bill Frisbee says it’s something that citizens and community groups have been asking for.
Frisbee says the City will provide volunteers with safety vests, trash bags, and litter pickers, and recognize groups with a plaque indicating the area they have “adopted.”
Frisbee says volunteer groups will arrange a time and place to leave the trash and public works staff will pick it up.
