Beloit is making sure the public’s voice is heard when it comes to the city’s next comprehensive plan.
City Planner Hilary Rottman says at a recent public input workshop, housing was the number one topic of discussion including how to create more of it while also making new housing affordable enough for residents.
Rottman says other residents also want to make the city more connected and increase walk-ability, improve the city’s image and make it a place people want to live and work, and more shopping options for residents.
Rottman says there is also a digital workshop available on the city’s website for people to offer their input on the comprehensive plan.
