The YWCA Rock County seeks to continue a tradition of honoring businesses that share the mission of eliminating racism.
Racial Justice Director Aimee Leavy says nominations for the annual Dorothy Height Award for Diversity in the Workplace will be accepted through October 6th.
Leavy says past recipients include: Community Action, Blackhawk Bank, and Agrace Hospice.
The award is named for Dorothy Height, a civil rights and women’s rights activist focused primarily on improving the circumstances of and opportunities for African-American women.
The award winner will be recognized during the annual Racial Justice Conference on November 9th.
