Evansville man accused of brandishing knife at daycare enters not guilty pleas

The 52-year-old Evansville man who’s accused of brandishing a weapon at a daycare center makes an appearance in Rock County Court.
Dewayne Harnack faces charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of disorderly conduct, and three counts of bail jumping.
Evansville Police were dispatched to a day-care center in August for a report of an armed subject.
Harnack is accused of entering into the childcare center, showing a knife, and threatening to stab his ex-wife in a dispute over money.
The ex-wife and children were not hurt during the incident.
At his preliminary hearing Friday morning Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig bound Harnack over for trial and entered not guilty pleas to the charges.
Harnack is currently free on a $15,000 cash bail.
