The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County invites the community to join speaker Jesse Alonzo presenting “Neurodiversity & How to Be A Better Ally to The Disabled Community” at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Kirk Denmark Theater, UW-W Rock County Campus. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Alonzo will take a sociological perspective breaking down various myths and harmful beliefs from the medical community. Alonzo, having autism, ADHD, and a student of UWW, will discuss disability from actual lived experiences. This presentation will teach the community how to better support neurodivergent individuals, while educating on disability rights and activism.
