The 30 year old Janesille man who led police on a 14 mile chase through the city after shooting at someone on Janesville’s south side appears in Rock County Court.
Prosecutors argued for a $500,000 cash bond for Sergio Morales, noting the criminal complaint alleges he was arguing with his significant other before threatening to kill her, chasing her out of a house, and once she got into a car he fired a gunshot into the air and then once at the victim.
Rock County Court Commissioner Jack Hoag says the allegations are severe enough and Morales’ actions represent a significant enough threat to the community that he agreed with the state and ordered a $500,000 bond for Morales.
Morales faces multiple charges including 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, attempted 1st degree intentional homicide, and fleeing an officer.
