In what’s just his second year as a Janesville police officer, Nick Sargeant earns top honors from the state Assembly for bravery and leadership.
44th Assembly District Rep. Sue Conley has named Officer Nicholas Sargeant of the Janesville Police Department as the First Responder of the Year for the 44th District.
On (Tuesday) Officer Sargeant was honored on the Assembly Floor during its annual, Hometown Heroes ceremony, a community leadership award for first responders and others.
In a statement, Conley says Sergeant has repeatedly shown “immense leadership and bravery.”
Sargeant has served the Janesville Police Department since 2021.
He was honored alongside others named by Assembly members as responders of the year.
