Red Kettle season is almost upon us as the Salvation Army of Rock County gets ready to launch one of their biggest fundraisers.
Lieutenant Jason Rysdyk says they’re looking for volunteers, and they want people to have fun with the drive by dressing up in holiday attire, and they’ve talked about doing fun competitions between groups in order to help raise more money.
Rysdyk says the holiday season is a crucial time of the year for the organization, and 80% of their fundraising takes place over the next six weeks, and the money raised helps them run their feeding pantry program, rental assistance, and get kids off the street.
