Janesville Police work with the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Justice on an undercover solicitation of prostitution operation.
Janesville Police Sergeant Aaron Dammen says the sting took place at a vacant home in Janesville on October 23rd.
As a result of the operation last month, three people were booked and released on misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution charges.
Dammen says he wants to people to know that prostitution is a crime, and that by soliciting a prostitute, you could be supporting human trafficking, or opening yourself up to be the victim of a crime by being robbed or worse.
