The Janesville School District is getting the ball rolling as they look at the long term future of the facilities within the district.
Eppstein Uhen Architects Project Manager Tory Schulz says part of the assessment will look at building and site conditions, and they’ll be able to observe things by being in the hallways and won’t be performing any destructive tests.
Schulz says they’ll also look at the educational adequacy of the facilities, which is how well buildings support the curriculum the district is trying to teach their students, and make sure as education advances the buildings in the district support such advances.
The results of the assessment will be first presented to the school board at their December 19th meeting.
