Facing financial hardships, HealthNet of Rock County is getting a little assistance from the county in the form of $700,000 in ARPA funding.
Volunteer Operational Consultant Kerry Swanson says the funding will give them another six months of breathing room, and with the money they wouldn’t need to eliminate any of their services while they find a way to be financially sustainable.
District 16 Supervisor Yuri Rashkin was the lone dissenting vote, and said he’s concerned the board could be back in the same position in a few months and while he supports HealhNet’s mission, there could be other solutions for people even if the clinic had to fold.
HealthNet moved into its new clinic on Franklin Street in late 2022 after completing a $4 million dollar capital campaign.
