Avid Rock County snowmobile riders had to wait longer than they would’ve hoped to hit up trails across the county.
Rock County Snowmobile Trail Alliance Trail Boss Billy Slater says the snowfall over the weekend and subzero temps early this week led to a six to eight inch base and the trails are looking good for people to ride on.
Slater says he expects the trails to remain open through the weekend, but they’ll have to keep an eye on some projected warmer temps and rain early next week.
