Schutt’s telehealth bill makes its way to Governor’s desk

A bill from a local legislator aimed at modernizing telehealth will make its way to the Governor’s desk.
31st Assembly District Representative Ellen Schutt of Clinton says her bill allows a licensed telehealth provider in Wisconsin to be reimbursed through Medicaid program even if they don’t have a physical address in the state.
Schutt says there are providers outside of the state that would offer more services, but it would be a hindrance since they aren’t reimbursed, and as a result a group of people who are in Medicaid don’t get access to the care they need or deserve.
The bill was unanimously approved by both the State Senate and State Assembly.
