Janesville Police shoot and kill a vicious dog that tried to attack a citizen and bit an officer.
According to a news release, officers received a call from a citizen who was trying to leaving for work, however two German Shepherd-type dogs were trying to attack them.
An officer arrived on scene and found the two dogs acting aggressively. The dogs began to attack the officer, and after he slipped and fell, he had to shoot one of them.
The dogs took off but were later located by another officer and were still acting aggressively. The officer shot the injured dog and it passed away at the scene.
The second dog was taken into custody with the help of a taser. It was transported to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin due to being vicious.
The officer involved suffered minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
