The City of Janesville is seeking a consultant to assist with a substantial overhaul of the City’s land development ordinances.
Planning Director Duane Cherek says the City Council approved an update to the comprehensive plan late last year and one of the more significant recommendations that came out of that effort involved the need to update the City’s zoning and subdivision ordinances.
The current zoning ordinance was adopted in 1981, with subsequent amendments occurring over time on an as-needed basis.
