A 39-year-old Janesville man is charged with fifth offense operating while intoxicated after being pulled over for traveling the wrong way down East Milwaukee Street early Monday morning.
According to the criminal complaint, a Janesville Police officer stopped a vehicle driven by Matthew Hudson shortly after 2:00 a.m. after observing him nearly collide with another vehicle.
When the officer asked Hudson how much he had to drink he said, “Enough.” Hudson then told the officer he had been at the bar. When asked what bar he said, “All of them.”
Hudson told the officer “I’m drunk, that’s fine,” and refused to complete field sobriety tests.
The officer observed a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of vodka, and two beer inside Hudson’s vehicle.
Hudson was arrested for OWI 5th of 6th offense and taken to the Rock County Jail.
