Janesville Craig is welcoming award winning author Jonathan Friesen to school Wednesday.
Friesen says he’ll be talking to kids at the school about his life journey, including his diagnosis at a young age of Tourette syndrome, and how we have the need to feel visible and invisible at the same time and how to navigate that.
Friesen says his book “Jerk, California”, which the entire school is reading, is about a young man diagnosed with Tourette and having to come to terms with who you are.
Friesen will also be holding a writing session later in the day for aspiring authors.
