Janesville Police conduct active threat training at Parker High School

The Janesville Police Department is collaborating with the School District of Janesville on a multi-agency active threat training Tuesday and Wednesday at Parker High School.

The training will run from 5:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. both days.

According to a news release, utilizing best practice concepts developed at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University, officers under the guidance of Janesville Police Department ALERRT instructors will undergo scenario-based training simulations.

The goal of the training is to enhance area law enforcement preparedness and response to active threat response in our community.
