Janesville wine walk may not be in compliance with state law

The downtown Janesville spring wine walk may need to make some changes to be in compliance with state law.
Janesville Alcohol License Advisory Committee Member Paul Williams says the event allows attendees to go out into the street with their alcohol after obtaining it from a temporarily licensed facility.
Williams says under state law, alcoholic beverages would need to be consumed on the premises of the business where they were served.
The event is scheduled to go before the ALAC next month.
The downtown Janesville spring wine walk is planned for May 18th from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m.
