For the third year in a row, Beloit Turner School District is offering students access to resources from around the community through the district’s Mental Health and Wellness Day.
District Nurse Erin Bown says the program features more than 40 local organizations. Students will be able to visit a variety of booths that provide them resources.
Bown says the district is focused on new data she says shows students have additional stressors, plus difficulties with social awareness, self-management, and navigating relationships.
Mental Health and Wellness Day runs all day Wednesday. It includes youth motivational speaker Cory Greenwood, who focuses on mental health, academic stresses, and family problems.
