Highway 59 work begins Monday in Rock County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is making motorist aware of road work starting this week in Rock County.

Governor Tony Evers signed a $1.4 million contract to resurface State Highway 59 between Highways 104 and 213 in the town of Magnolia.

Additional improvements include replacing a box culvert, installing new guardrail, and replacing two pipes along the project limits.

During construction, Highway 59 will be closed to through traffic and detour utilizing Highways 104, 11, and 213.

Construction Project Manager Adam Kopp says preliminary work starts Monday.

Project completion is scheduled for late July 2024.
