Beloit College and Edgewood College have sparked a new partnership aimed at making a nursing degree more accessible to Rock County residents.

Edgewood Associate Dean of Nursing Quinn Mullikin says under the program, students would complete bachelor’s coursework in Beloit for three or four years, and then shift to Edgewood’s nursing program while remaining on the Beloit campus.

Beloit College School of Health Sciences Director Rachel Bergstrom says Beloit College students have attended Edgewood for nursing in the past. The new program would allow people to stay on in Beloit, which might help students earn a degree sooner. It also could create stronger community ties in Beloit as students move toward a career.

The program launches in May of 2025.
