A Rock County court commissioner is allowing a 31-year-old Edgerton man out on bond to continue to use the Internet after he was accused of watching a video that shows a young boy being violently attacked and sexually assaulted.
Devon Lee Reilly made his initial appearance before Rock County Court Commissioner Jack Hoag this week on a single charge of possession of child pornography.
While Reilly is still allowed to use the Internet, he’s not supposed to enter chat rooms, use social media, dating apps, or pornography sites.
According to the criminal complaint, Edgerton Police got a tip on the case in January from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The tip included a cell phone number and email address for Reilly, along with a video file that showed a child being severely beaten while he was being raped.
Officers said Reilly admitted he viewed child pornography. He’s due back in Rock County Court for a preliminary hearing June 10.
