A Beloit woman who was busted stealing painkillers from the Rock County-owned nursing home pleads guilty to a lesser charge, avoiding a felony conviction.
39-year-old Courtney Lestikow was originally charged in Rock County Court with felony theft after she admitted to stealing around 20 oxycodone pills from Rock Haven in November of 2023.
Wednesday morning Lestikow plead guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor theft and Judge Barbara McCrory ordered her to pay a $150 fine.
Judge McCrory took into account the fact that Lestikow entered rehab right away, and entered into a stringent agreement with the Board of Nursing which allows her to keep her license.
