The Janesville Plan Commission has OK’d a conditional-use permit for a new duplex at 430 S. Arch St. on the city’s west side.
Planning Director Duane Cherek says the property would be just south of the former Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
Cherek says the site has been a vacant lot for three decades.
According to a Plan Commission memo, the property’s owner plans to operate both units as rental properties.
