Rock County sheriff’s officials say they’re investigating a stabbing that’s the second violent encounter in the last week at Toxic, a night club on Janesville’s far south end.

The sheriff’s office reports arresting two Janesville men late Sunday in a fight at Toxic, which is at 2709 South Highway 51. It left one person stabbed.

A woman who describes herself as Toxic’s owner tells WCLO she got word early Monday of the fight, which she says happened in the parking lot outside the nightclub.

The owner says Toxic’s bouncers ran outside and tried to defuse the fight, but police ended up being called. Police describe the fight as a “large mutual combatancy.”

Police say they arrested 19-year-old Osmer M. Ortez Serrato, and 21-year-old Albertano Vargas, both on battery. Both live in Janesville.

Toxic has had a rough run of nights recently. The fight happened less than a week after police say they arrested a man for pointing a gun at a bouncer at Toxic on April 30.

WCLO has asked Rock County Sheriff’s Office for further details on this reported fight, which was announced in sheriff’s office beat records released to WCLO on Wednesday morning. We’ll provide updates to this report on 1230 AM WCLO and wclo.com as we’re able.
