A 21-year-old Janesville man who admitted to saving child pornography because he thought he could make money off of the videos will spend three years behind bars.

Back in February Brandon Reitan plead guilty in Rock County Court to three counts of possession of child pornography, and possession of THC. Two additional counts of possession of child pornography and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

According to online court records, on Wednesday Judge Derrick Grubb sentenced Reitan to 10 years in the Wisconsin State Prison system, consisting of three years of initial confinement, followed by seven years of extended supervision.

According to the criminal complaint, Reitan was busted when Janesville Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Snapchat account belonging to him which contained images and videos of prepubescent girls.
