scales-of-justice-2

A 24-year-old Janesville woman is facing a felony charge in connection with the crash that left a motorcyclist on life support.
According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police were dispatched to the intersection of East Milwaukee Street and North Pontiac Drive just before 5:00 p.m. on April 13th on the report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.
First responders found a motorcycle on its side and a man in the road with good Samaritans providing first aid.
Investigation determined that that motorcyclist was head east on Milwaukee Street when Skyla Richardson turned in front of him while trying to pull into Kwik Trip. The motorcyclist tried to break but he struck Richardson’s SUV and was thrown over the hood.
Richardson’s license was suspended for failure to pay a ticket in 2021 and since then she’s received two separate tickets for operating with a suspended license.
She’s charged in Rock County Court with knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended causing great bodily harm. She was also cited for failure to yield.
