Beloit police say a man was injured in a shooting on the city’s east side that left a man hospitalized with a bullet wound Saturday.
Police say officers responded to the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue in the city’s Merrill neighborhood just after 3 a.m. Saturday for call of gunshots being fired. Officers said one man had a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital. His status wasn’t immediately released.
Authorities gave no other details.
It’s the fourth Beloit shooting that’s left people injured since the beginning of April.
An investigation continues.
