The Fitchburg man accused of shooting a 28-year-old man in the 2600 block of Colley Road in Beloit in August of 2023 takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.
According to online court records, Phillip Fung Li pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to first-degree reckless injury with use of a dangerous weapon, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon. He was originally charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Fung Li was arrested and extradited back to Wisconsin after he fled to Killeen, Texas last August.
Fung Li is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Ashley Morse on August 14th at 9:00 a.m.
