The Janesville police department is reportedly doing a welfare check on an individual at the Janesville Schools Outdoor Laboratory.
According to a Facebook post by the Janesville School District., earlier Thursday morning, students visiting the JSOL has a field trip cut short due to Janesville police activity in the area.
The post says that while police did not believe anyone was in immediate danger, the decision was made to end the field trip early and get students back to school because of a welfare check being done by police.
All students and staff who were out at the JSOL were safely returned to their schools, according to the district.
