A welfare check on a person led the Janesville Police Department to briefly evacuate the Janesville Schools Outdoor Lab Thursday.
According to a release from JPD, an officer located a vehicle in the parking lot of the JSOL, and it belonged to a person police were attempting to locate for a welfare check.
Officers began searching the JSOL campus and determined Janesville district students were on the campus for a field trip, and had the students and faculty removed from the JSOL campus.
The release says during a search of the campus, a person was found deceased. Janesville Police say no foul play is suspected.
