Authorities say two people are recovering from stab wounds after a violent attack in a Walgreen’s pharmacy on Janesville’s west side late Saturday.

Janesville police say they found 27-year-old Edward Toyer of Janesville covered in blood from two other people they say he stabbed around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walgreen’s at 1933 West Court Street.

Police used a drone to find Toyer walking near the pharmacy, and arrested him after authorities say he’d stabbed two people inside the store. Both victims had multiple stab wounds.

Police haven’t indicated what kind of weapon Toyer used in the stabbing. But they say the attack was unprovoked, and Toyer did not know the people he stabbed.

Authorities say both the victims are recovering, and Toyer is in custody, pending a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

Court records show Toyer has faced trouble in the recent past for multiple burglaries.
