A 20-year-old Delavan man is under arrest on unrelated charges after a drive-by shooting Saturday night in the town of La Prairie.
According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the to 800 block of Milton Shopiere Road just before 11:30 p.m. on the report of shots fired.
Deputies received a vehicle plate number and description and stopped a vehicle near Janesville.
The driver of that vehicle, Luis Villegas was arrested for possession of stolen property. Police said they seized two guns and some ammunition as “evidence.”
He was also cited for underage drinking, and having open intoxicants in the vehicle.
Authorities haven’t immediately said whether they suspect Villegas played any role in the Town of La Prairie shooting.
