Clean-up is likely to take a few days after severe thunderstorms rolled through the area Tuesday night. The Rock County Emergency Dispatch Center reports receiving dozens of calls about downed trees.
Shortly before dawn, Beloit residents reported loud popping sounds, resembling gun fire, which turned out to be multiple arcing power lines.
Rock County Emergency Management reported Lakeside Fire Rescue responded to two people trapped in a car by a downed tree.
The report also listed a tree fell on a vehicle in the Town of Janesville.
Many residents throughout Rock County experienced power outages. No one has been reported injured.
