A local task force that formed in the wake of a pair of tornados that touched down in Rock County in February is asking the Rock County Board of Supervisors for American Rescue Plan Act funds.
Several citizens spoke out during Thursday night’s County Board meeting indicating the FEMA damage estimates aren’t accurate, with the total actually being closer to $20 to $25 million.
County Supervisors Debi Towns and Doug Sutter drafted a resolution to allocated the funds, although there was no dollar amount attached.
The resolution has been referred to committee.
