There will be no Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra patriotic concert in Janesville this year.
Conductor Rob Tomaro says Downtown Janesville Inc decided not to book the group as they typically do on July 3rd.
Tomaro says it’s the first time in 24 years they won’t be performing in Janesville the day before the 4th of July.
Officials with downtown Janesville Inc. say they struggled to find sponsors for the event last year and attendance was low so they decided to focus their limited resources on other events.
The patriotic concert in Beloit will go on as scheduled on July 4th at 7:30 p.m. in the Harry Moore pavilion at Riverside Park.
