Beloit men arrested in connection to May 11th shooting appear in court

The two men who were arrested in Fort Wayne, Indiana in connection to a May 11th shooting on Dewey Avenue in Beloit both make their initial appearance in Rock County court.
Kevin Payne and Terey A. Vance appeared before Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig (Friday) afternoon, where he ordered a $500,000 cash bond for Payne and a $400,000 cash bond for Vance.
A criminal complaint alleges Payne and Vance entered a home on Dewey Avenue the early morning of May 11th, and one of them shot a man in through the mouth before fleeing the scene.
The victim, who has not been identified, remains in critical condition.
Vance faces a charge of attempted 1st degree intentional homicide party to a crime, while Payne faces charges of attempted 1st degree intentional homicide, felon in possession of a weapon, and bail jumping.
