A 39-year-old Janesville man is facing charges after police say he fired a round from a handgun during a disturbance. A police department news release states Dennis C. Smith was arrested Saturday after police investigated an incident, which occurred Friday in the 2500 block of Center Avenue. Police say the disturbance was between two males. No one was reported hurt. The handgun was recovered. Smith was arrested on a charge of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
