The YWCA Rock County kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October with one if their biggest events.
Event Co-Chair Julia Jorgenson says Walk a Mile in Her Shoes will take place Saturday, October 12th at the Janesville Town Square.
The event encourages men to wear high heels while participating in a one mile walk.
The event also includes food trucks, vendors, and speakers.
